Senior Buyer:

· Primary responsibility is to produce goods and services, develop proposals and/or negotiate prices, terms, schedules and other provisions of purchase orders.

· Manage sourcing programs for a variety of commodities in domestic and global environments.

· Provide leadership in purchasing activities, including major company projects or programs.

· Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure satisfactory results, and implement appropriate action as required.

· Monitor industry to maintain awareness of trends and leading-edge practices.

· Analyze data or information and draw logical conclusions and/or make recommendations for improving efficiency of department.

Requirements
Qualifications:

· BS in Business Administration or other related field with a minimum five (5) years of electronic components buying experience.

· Experience with major subcontracts a plus.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially with Microsoft Excel, spreadsheet, databases, and word processing software.

· Familiar with MRP and Oracle systems a plus.

· Evidence of strong negotiating skills and purchasing skills.

· Multiple language skills are helpful.
