Job description:
• Responsible for testing batteries (NDT and destructive tests). This includes actual testing of batteries (operating and non-operating test; about 60% of your time), writing step by step test procedures and reports, trouble shooting problems (battery, equipment) as needed, coordinating effort with project engineers and other ATB team members, providing guidance in area of expertise and insuring testing safety. All documentation and treacibility shall meet AS9100 standards.
• Manage (procure if needed, set up, maintain, improve...) testing equipment and keep testing area in proper condition (5S requirement).
• Manage calibration system: do or subcontract calibration and maintain system according to AS9100 standards.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Education: Engineering degree (EE preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Testing battery (hands-on) experience a plus.
• Specific knowledge: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Highly motivated, good work ethics, detail oriented, honest and reliable.
Notes:
• Some travel expected (battery testing in outside facility).
• On the job training will be provided.
