Supplier Quality Engineer
Seeking a motivated and self-directed individual for a Materials Engineering contractor position.
• Expected to work closely with Product and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure APQP guidelines are met. This includes supporting and sometimes leading the development of PFMEA, Control Plans, capability studies, determination of special characteristics, gage design and certification, gage R&R, part layout, etc.
• Assist in the development of, and monitor, contract manufacturing statistical process control and indicators including; run charts, PPM, Cpk, etc.
• Lead problem analysis and resolution for quality concerns.
• Work with returned parts and warranty/service information to determine root cause and corrective actions
• Automotive Quality systems experience.
• Knowledge electronic component qualification and full product cycle quality management, starting with advanced planning, through design, launch and PPAP, and including returned parts and warranty analysis.
• Has utilized global 8D or similar process.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Automotive Quality Engineer
• Implement and apply “Six Sigma Model" to achieve PPM level at each part supplier and assure that the suppliers outgoing QC will deliver such quality level to production on an on-going basis.
• Allocate allowable manufacturing process defects in printed circuit board assembly. Verify and correct any in-process defects and outgoing quality.
• Develop and implement a System Level Product Audit Test for outgoing quality control at subcontract manufacturer(s).
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years experience in a supervisory or management position in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control environment in the Automotive Electronics industry.
• Familiarity with SMT assembly and module testing.
• Application of “Design for Six Sigma” techniques in the design phase and knowledge in Six Sigma manufacturing.
